RDA Welcomes a New Board Member

Barbara Manson stands in a blue suit jacket, blue top and blue patterned silk scarf against a pristine lawn and garden.

Barbara Manson joins RDA UK’s Board of Trustees as a Trustee for Scotland. Barbara has had a long involvement with RDA, having worked both locally and regionally within the organisation.

Barbara says:

“I am looking forward to continuing my lifelong involvement with RDA which I have been volunteering with for many years at local and regional level.   I live in Aberdeenshire in the North of Scotland and have a base in Edinburgh.

Currently I am Chair and Trustee of an NHS Charity, which last year rebranded, launched a new Website and started a presence on Social Media.  I created and developed an award winning holiday cottage business in Aberdeenshire and in my spare time I try to fit in a ride and walk my Labrador and Jack Russell!

RDA in Scotland has strong support in our communities, enthusiastic volunteers who are engaged with RDA’s work and who are open to training and development.

RDA continues to operate at a nationally recognised high level of expertise with participants, volunteers, staff and equines being supported effectively by a team which has both imagination and pragmatism.  I am already working to strengthen our presence in the equine community in Scotland.”
